Welcome to La Junta 1st Assembly of God . We hope you feel right at home in our community where you’ll experience a comfortable, casual environment, with opportunities for the whole family. We would invite you to take a look around our website and get to know us and then join us for one of our great services on Sundays at 10:00 am and Wednesday Morning Prayer at 8:00 am so we can get to know YOU better.
Here at La Junta 1st Assembly of God, our doors are wide open to people from all backgrounds, regardless of where you are on your spiritual journey. We don’t expect perfect people to walk through our doors each week… and certainly there are no perfect people already here! But together we aim to draw closer to God each week, feeding on God’s Word, enjoying true worship to God, developing honest friendships, and sharing a compassionate concern always for those in need.
Mission/Vision
It’s our mission to spread the hope of Jesus Christ to people we come in contact with. We believe that through relationship with Him, we will SERVE GOD better, LOVE PEOPLE with a genuine love, and DO LIFE TOGETHER as God has designed and intended us to live as His Church.
Our Pastors
Pastors Vaughn and Cindy met at University of Valley Forge and were married in 1993. They have been serving in full time ministry together for 30 years. Serving many years as Youth, Young Adult, and Children Pastors and the last 6 years as Lead Pastors. They moved here in August 2024 and are excited to see the healthy growth of a loving, serving, sharing, and giving body of believers who will strive to develop disciples as Christ commissioned us to do by equipping the body of believers to do the service of ministry according to their God created purposes
